Buddy Bat has accepted our invitation to host as grand marshal of the Borden Valley Day Parade.

The fabulous Leapin’ Lena will also be joining the parade line up as well as local festival queens.

The Borden Braves Band will be performing in the parade.

Come see the Antique Tractors in the parade and on display at the Festival.

Community Walk/Run starting at the Borden Community Park.  Each participant will receive a Borden Valley Day Festival T-shirt and Participation Medal.  For more information please contact Jamie Martin at:  jamesgmartin18@hotmail.com

10:00 am:
Parade starting at Borden High School along Hwy 60 ending at the Borden Community Park.  For more information please contact the Town of Borden at:  townofborden@insightbb.com

11:15 (estimated):
Boy Scout National Flag Changing of Colors – Veterans Memorial

11:00 am:

Food booths and craft booths open at the Borden Community Park.  For information on how to register a booth at the Festival please contact the Town of Borden at:  townofborden@insightbb.com

11:00 am:

Car Show – Each participant will receive a Borden Valley Day Festival T-Shirt.  Car Show categories are Street Rod (pre 1948) and Street Machine (post 1948).  Car Show awards will consist of:  Best in Show; Best Original Stock; Furthest Traveled.  For more information please contact the Town of Borden at:  townofborden@insightbb.com

12:00 pm:
Entertainment begins at noon and will run throughout the day.  Entertainment will include the Flash Bak Band, Faye Martin, and the Daly’s.  In addition bands from Jimmy’s Music Center Rock School Bands will also perform.

1:00 pm & 3:00 pm:
Kids games for age groups 4-6; 7-8; 9-10 including sack race, balloon toss, and wheelbarrow race

5:00 pm:

Borden Valley Day Festival

Come join us for camaraderie, fun, and community spirit at the Borden Valley Day Festival being held June 13, 2009 at the Borden Community Park.  Events include a parade, car show, fish fry sponsored by the Borden Lion’s Club, Cissell funnel cakes, miscellaneous booths, Queen contest, Community walk/run, National Flag ceremony performed by our local Boy Scout Troop, kids games, and a hot air balloon launch.  Entertainment is scheduled throughout the day and will include the Flash Bak Band, the Daly’s, Faye Martin, and bands provided by Jimmy’s Music Center Rock School Bands.  A timeline of events follow.  Proceeds benefit the Borden Community Park operating fund.

Registration forms for the Car Show and the Community Walk/Run are located at business’ throughout the Town of Borden including:  HomeTown Express, The Liquor Store, New Washington State Bank, and Brewer’s General Store. Registrations may also be printed out at:  www.bordenindiana.com.  Please make registration checks payable to the Town of Borden and mail to Town of Borden, c/o Borden Valley Day Festival, PO Box 125, Borden, IN 47106.  You may also register the day of the Festival.
